| The Spirit Breath Meditation discipline is a Vipassana based, breath centered meditation practice. Vipassana is a style of meditation originating in the Buddhist tradition. The practice encourages mental clarity, spiritual unfolding, and attentiveness to the moment. Through focus on the sacred power of the breath, this meditation practice promotes a sense of calm, equanimity and wisdom. Practically speaking, Vipassana is the integration of the 'following of the breath' with the ‘observation and noting’ of your mental and physical state any given moment. Breath is the essence of personal vitality. The observation and noting of your ever-changing mental and physical phenomena is a technique which enhances your ability to remain in the present moment in both your meditation discipline as well in your everyday routine.
