During the four week Winter Session 2, we will be integating our Spirit Breath meditation pracitice, led by Elise Lorimer, into the eating practices and wisdom teachings of Feeding the Spiritual Body. 

Feeding the Spiritual Body is a weekly gathering focusing on a wide range of lifestyle choices pertaining to your body. We will discuss how these choices affect your body and ultimately the wellness and health of your entire being. The current academic discussion regarding the integration of functional medicine and western medicine opens up many questions regarding how we track our overall health and wellbeing. We will attempt to illuminate specific wellness issues as well as discuss how you might incorporate simple changes into your lifestyle to experience maximum health benefits.  Led by longtime health food junkie Carolyn Shaw, Feeding the Spiritual Body, will include weekly discussions on many topics such as digestive health, vegan and vegetarianism, food chemistry, current thinking on gluten/dairy restrictions, hormones, and blood sugar challenges. Spirit House shares an extensive library with many resources aimed at diet/lifestyle/wellbeing in your life. You are welcome to peruse the library shelves and check-out any of the resources.

Additionally, this offering will include recipes, cooking demonstrations and shared tastings! During the session there will be several opportunities to check-in with your own body through testing for ph-balance, allergen testing (food and airborne), as well as other simple diagnostic tools. Spirit House will be offering the use of a new water balancing purifier (acidic vs alkaline) for the participants of the Feeding the Spiritual Body offering. Simply bring your water filled glass containers and run your water through the water purifier and your drinking water will be ph-balanced.
